International Falls Mill Profile
The mill located in International Falls, Minnesota, is an integrated pulp and paper facility with a 110 year operating history. Over 475,000 tons of commodity and specialty papers are produced annually on two paper machines, including one of the world’s largest machines.
The Minnesota mill sits on the south banks of the Rainy River, and locals enjoy the rewards of living in an environment that is clean, safe and filled with breathtaking natural scenery and year-round recreational opportunities.
The plant operation consists of wood yard and chip manufacturing facility, batch digesters (8), bleach plant (3-stage), recovery boiler (recausticising), multi-fuel boiler and gas boilers (4), steam turbine generators (4).

As the largest employer in Koochiching County, the mill has approximately 581 employees, covers a site of 55 acres, and is owned by Packaging Corporation of America with headquarters in Lake Forest, Illinois.
