Fulfilling Our Paper with Purpose® Promise

September 04, 2019

At Boise Paper, we are committed to our Paper with Purpose® promise, which is why partnerships with organizations who give back to the community are so important to us. Since 2011, we’ve partnered with The Arbor Day Foundation to support our Project UP Initiative – a traveling community event that transforms abandoned urban areas into neighborhood parks and green spaces.

Parks are at the heart of every vibrant community, and with the help of local volunteers and organizations, we’ve successfully planted thousands of trees and beautified spaces in Indianapolis, Boston, Miami, Toronto, Atlanta, Chicago and Los Angeles. Now residents in these communities’ have a revitalized space to gather, relax and thrive.

This past weekend we were excited to visit Cleveland for the first time, where volunteers from Boise Paper joined those from Avery Dennison, Western Reserve Land Conservancy and The Arbor Day Foundation to plant trees at E Prep and Village Prep Woodland Hills.

Project UP events are just one way we fulfill our Paper with Purpose promise. We also donate a majority of the office paper the American Red Cross uses annually, which offsets their administrative costs so more dollars go directly to critical humanitarian efforts. We’re also proud to be the exclusive office paper brand of Box Tops for Education, which helps provide thousands of dollars to schools every year for items such as art supplies and sports equipment.

Our next Project UP event will take us to Philadelphia in October. If you would like to watch future Project UP initiatives transform communities one tree at a time, make sure to follow us on Facebook and keep an eye out for information about our next event.
